I'm Matthew Dye, a Nashville-based communications and creative strategy leader with over 10 years of experience across government, nonprofit, and private sectors.
I build brands, grow audiences, and turn complex ideas into stories people actually care about — through design, illustration, photography, video, and digital marketing. My work has delivered 60.2% social media impression growth for the City of Chattanooga Department of Public Works, 20% engagement increase for Bigfoot Adventures, and an international podcast audience of 12,500+ listeners built entirely through organic strategy.
As the former Public Information Officer for the City of Chattanooga, I built the department's communications program from scratch, served as media spokesperson, created brand guidelines, and co-led crisis communications with TDOT and TEMA during the 2020 Easter Weekend tornado response. My work was featured in Tennessee Public Works Magazine.
Currently I serve as Marketing Director for Baggenstoss Management, running brand strategy, design, web development, and campaigns across five organizations in Southeast Tennessee.
I also run two independent brands: In The Eyes of Terror, a horror podcast, and Matthew Dye Art, an original illustration brand sold through Shopify, Etsy, and Redbubble.
Whether it's a government department, a tourism brand, a chamber of commerce, or a startup that needs to look like it's been around for years — I make it happen, usually with no budget and no team.
